Basketball Recap: Spirit HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Spirit HomeSchool's tournament run continued when they took on South Guilford HomeSchool on Tuesday. The Spirit HomeSchool Warhawks had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 275th in Virginia, while the Cougars are ranked 95th in North Carolina).

Isa Bosch continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Guilford HomeSchool, almost dropping a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Bosch a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kourtney Bullins, who posted 13 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.

Spirit HomeSchool has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-15 record this season. South Guilford HomeSchool's record is now 32-4.

Coming up, Spirit HomeSchool will face off against Christian Educational Consortium at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, a feisty cat fight will be fought as South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars face off against Providence Athletic Club Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
