Softball Recap: Superior Gets the Win

While Superior's win against Proctor wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Rails on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Rails: they've now won three in a row.

Jordyn Eastman was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Visger, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases.

Superior's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Proctor, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

Coming up, Superior will welcome River Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Proctor, they will take on Rush City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rails' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season.
