Volleyball Recap: Mount Tabor Comes Up Short

Mount Tabor came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the West Forsyth Titans, falling 3-0. The loss was the Spartans' first of the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-5, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Mount Tabor saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kerry Donahue had 14 digs, five kills, and two blocks. Donahue is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least five every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Pae Bu, who had 11 digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount Tabor fell to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Tabor will host R.J. Reynolds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Forsyth, they will square off against Northwest Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
