Basketball Recap: Candlelight Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Faith Christian Academy

Candlelight Christian Academy won the last time they faced Faith Christian Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Flames simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Falcons 62-25. With the Flames ahead 43-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Candlelight Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabriel Coste out in front who shot 83% from the field en route to 11 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Coste is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Cordero, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points.

Candlelight Christian Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Candlelight Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mater Brighton Lakes Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Geneva Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
