Soccer Recap: Spring Lake Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Spring Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holland Christian Maroons. That's two games in a row now that Spring Lake have lost by just one goal.

Spring Lake now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Holland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-3 record this season.

Spring Lake and Holland Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Lakers (ranked 95th) will meet Zeeland East (ranked 265th) at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Holland Christian will take on Zeeland West at 7:15 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (41 vs. 228).
