Soccer Game Preview: New Fairfield vs. Granby Memorial

The New Fairfield Rebels will square off against the Granby Memorial Bears on Monday. New Fairfield's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

New Fairfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past Seymour 4-3. Considering New Fairfield's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Seymour with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hudson Schaefer (2), James Dobransky, and Gavin Spanger.

Meanwhile, Granby Memorial kept a clean sheet against Bullard-Havens on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Tigers. Considering Granby Memorial have won four matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory got Granby Memorial back to even at 4-4. As for New Fairfield, their win bumped their record up to 7-9-3.
