Football Game Preview: Greenville Red Raiders vs. T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets

Greenville hasn't had much luck against T.L. Hanna recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Red Raiders will head out to challenge the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Greenville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Nation Ford by a score of 42-35.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Kiishawn Farrow and Kason Canupp. Farrow had a great game and threw for 173 yards and three TDs. Meanwhile, Canupp was balling out in the loss, throwing for 329 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also punching in one rushing score.

Greenville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Julian Renrick and Keshun McCoy.

Meanwhile, T.L. Hanna entered their tilt with Greenville last Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Red Raiders 27-24. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Yellow Jackets were the better team in the second half.

T.L. Hanna's win came from a few key players Greenville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brock Cole, who rushed for 113 yards on only 14 carries.

T.L. Hanna was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 264 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests.

Greenville's record now sits at 7-4. As for T.L. Hanna, their record is now 9-1.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Greenville has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 151.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like T.L. Hanna struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 321.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Greenville couldn't quite finish off T.L. Hanna in their previous matchup last Friday and fell 27-24. Can the Red Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
