Baseball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

Lafayette entered their match against Corinth on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lafayette Commodores fell 6-2 to the Corinth Warriors. The Commodores were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Lafayette saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Guest, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Corinth, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

While Lafayette had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
