Recap: Stanton County Trojans vs. South Gray Rebels
The Stanton County Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 72-42 loss at the hands of South Gray. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stanton County in their matchups with South Gray: they've now lost four in a row.
Stanton County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Crane, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Crane's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Arihm Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Stanton County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Gray, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Stanton County will head out on the road to face off against Sublette at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Gray, they will play host again and welcome Bucklin, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bucklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 back in December of 2023.
