The Sheridan Blackhawks will challenge the Tipton Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Tipton will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Sheridan extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Blackhawks came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against Indy Genesis HomeSchool.

Braelan Bochner made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bochner was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Sheridan's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 6-11 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Jake Hall was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Tipton gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Taylor, sneaking past 5-3. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Max Atherton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Evan Coe, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Quinn Tolle, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.
Tipton's victory bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Sheridan, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Sheridan couldn't quite get it done against Tipton in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 7-4. Can the Blackhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
