Father McGivney Catholic hadn't done well against St. Elmo/Brownstown recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Griffins put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 55-31 victory. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Father McGivney Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brendan Kayser, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Those 11 points gave Kayser a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Kolesa, who shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points.
