Elkhorn fell victim to Beloit Memorial and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Elks have suffered since April 9th.

Carson Lysaght spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Elkhorn has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. As for Beloit Memorial, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-15.
