Recap: Mt. Zion Bulldogs vs. Hampton Hornets
The Mt. Zion Bulldogs's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Hampton by a score of 69-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Jaki Bell, who scored 29 points. The contest was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. Zion Shannon was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Mt. Zion's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Hampton, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Woodland the next time they take the court. Mt. Zion will host Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Hampton will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
