Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy lost against Haynes Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to Haynes Academy.

The match finished with set scores of 25-1, 25-8, 25-5.

Cameron Vaughn was a one-woman wrecking crew For Haynes Academy. as she had 30 assists and three aces. That's the most assists Vaughn has posted over her last eight matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Marilyn Voitier, who had ten kills.

Kennedy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Haynes Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-6 record this season.

Kennedy will face off against West Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Haynes Academy, they will challenge Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
