Baseball Recap: St. Edmund Takes a Loss

St. Edmund suffered their closest defeat since March 5, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs by a score of 3-1.

Blake Moran made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

St. Edmund has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. The win got Ascension Catholic back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, St. Edmund will square off against Pine Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ascension Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Houma Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
