Soccer Game Preview: Cambridge Rindge & Latin vs. Acton-Boxborough

The Cambridge Rindge & Latin Falcons will head out to take on the Acton-Boxborough Revolution at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cambridge Rindge & Latin will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Cambridge Rindge & Latin proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Bedford 2-1. Given Cambridge Rindge & Latin's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Bedford are ranked 135th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Acton-Boxborough has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 14th. They came up short against Beverly on Monday, falling 4-1. The match was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Acton-Boxborough it sure didn't stay that way.

Cambridge Rindge & Latin's victory bumped their record up to 9-4-3. As for Acton-Boxborough, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12-4.

Everything went Cambridge Rindge & Latin's way against Acton-Boxborough in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Cambridge Rindge & Latin made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
