After a string of four wins, Lutheran's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Lutheran couldn't quite close it out.

Lutheran's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4-1. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4-2.

Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-2 victory against Palmer Ridge on the 17th. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-1 win against Lewis-Palmer on the 16th.
