Basketball Recap: New Knoxville Takes a Loss

New Knoxville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 53-31 to the Spencerville Bearcats. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 636th, while the Bearcats are ranked 12th).

New Knoxville's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Spencerville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

New Knoxville has already played their next contest (against Fort Loramie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Spencerville will square off against Allen East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Allen East will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Spencerville surely won't give up without a fight.
