Football Recap: Tucker Hutchison's Menacing Defense Leads Basehor-Linwood over Leavenworth + How To Watch

Basehor-Linwood extended their postseason success on Friday against Leavenworth. They blew past the PIONEERS 31-7. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the PIONEERS: they've now won seven in a row.

Basehor-Linwood found their leader in sophomore Gavin Mitchell, who rushed for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Nash Morrison did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 87 receiving yards.

Basehor-Linwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Basehor-Linwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Tucker Hutchison, Noah Gutierrez, and Talon Elliott picked up one apiece.

Basehor-Linwood's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Leavenworth, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Basehor-Linwood will take on St. James Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Carson Dixon and John Hornback. Leavenworth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
