Recap: Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans vs. Gilbert Indians
The Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Gilbert, falling 71-39. Ridge Spring-Monetta was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tavin Rodney, who scored 8 points. Akiem Mills was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
Ridge Spring-Monetta's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gilbert, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridge Spring-Monetta will take on Saluda at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saluda is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Gilbert, they will be playing at home against Pelion at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
