Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Mccarthy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Archbishop McCarthy came into Saturday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the University Cougars by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Nick Castillo paced Archbishop McCarthy's offense, picking up ten kills. Castillo got some help from Josef Pfeiffer and his 11 assists. Pfeiffer was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Archbishop McCarthy's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for University, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, Archbishop McCarthy will challenge Belen Jesuit at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against West Port on the 5th.
