Volleyball Recap: El Dorado Falls Short of Chapin in the Playoffs

El Dorado and Chapin squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but El Dorado had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Huskies. The Aztecs have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-14.

When it comes to explaining why El Dorado lost, don't look at Natalia Ruiz. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs. Ruiz has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 20 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marli Taylor, who had seven digs and five kills.

El Dorado's loss dropped their record down to 16-20. As for Chapin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.
