Baseball Recap: Woodstown Comes Up Short

Woodstown was the 9-2 winner over Sterling when they last played one another back in May of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Knights on Saturday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodstown's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Sterling, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Woodstown and Sterling should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Wolverines (ranked 119th) will meet Salem (ranked 253rd) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sterling will square off against Paulsboro at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (30 vs. 306).
