Glastonbury faced Simsbury in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Guardians fell 3-1 to the Trojans. The Guardians' loss signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Reese Henderson paced Glastonbury's offense, picking up 18 kills. Henderson got some help from Mckenna Reynolds and her 33 assists. Leah Mosca controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Emily Elias was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 11 digs.

Glastonbury's defeat dropped their record down to 25-3-2. As for Simsbury, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.
