Football Recap: Kansas City East Christian Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

It's playoff time, and Kansas City East Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Wichita Defenders HomeSchool Defenders by a score of 28-20 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kansas City East Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Wisner, who rushed for 40 yards and two TDs. That's the most rushing yards Wisner has posted since back in August. Kansas City East Christian Academy also got a significant boost from Benjamin Nelson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.

Kansas City East Christian Academy's record is now 2-8. As for Wichita Defenders HomeSchool, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Kansas City East Christian Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Manhattan E at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. Wichita Defenders HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
