Soccer Recap: Sanford Comes Up Short

Sanford was the 4-3 winner over Wilmington Friends when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Quakers on Thursday.

Sanford now has a losing record of 1-2-2. As for Wilmington Friends, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Looking ahead, Sanford will challenge Archmere Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilmington Friends, they will face off against Delcastle Technical at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delcastle Technical's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Wilmington Friends' offense will have their work cut out for them.
