Baseball Recap: Talladega Comes Up Short

Talladega was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the JAG Jaguars, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 on Saturday.

Talladega's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for JAG, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Talladega will challenge Winterboro at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Talladega has given up an average of 18.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for JAG, a feisty cat fight will be fought as JAG Jaguars challenge Central Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
