The Wheat Ridge Farmers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They escaped with a win against Pomona by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45. That's another feather in the cap for Wheat Ridge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Wheat Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Rainalter out in front who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Nick Dalton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Despite the loss, Pomona still got an impressive performance from Joshua James, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. The match was James' 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Perry, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Wheat Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Pomona, they bumped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
