Basketball Game Preview: Padua Franciscan Bruins vs. Walsh Jesuit Warriors

Padua Franciscan hasn't had much luck against Walsh Jesuit recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Padua Franciscan Bruins will venture away from home to face off against the Walsh Jesuit Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Padua Franciscan has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 232 points over their last three matches.

Padua Franciscan will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Holy Name, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Padua Franciscan came out on top against Holy Name by a score of 73-65 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Walsh Jesuit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to Gilmour Academy at home by a 69-52 margin. One positive for the Warriors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Walsh Jesuit's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-4. As for Padua Franciscan, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Padua Franciscan came up short against Walsh Jesuit when the teams last played back in February, falling 67-56. Can Padua Franciscan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
