Baseball Recap: Camden-Frontier Comes Up Short

Camden-Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Concord Yellowjackets. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Redskins were not able to get on the board.

Jayden Martinez spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Camden-Frontier saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Gary, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Camden-Frontier's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Concord, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camden-Frontier will face off against Tekonsha at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Concord, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Bronson at 4:15 p.m.
