Basketball Recap: Admiral Farragut Takes a Loss

Admiral Farragut lost against Lakeside Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Admiral Farragut BlueJackets took a 29-12 bruising from the Lakeside Christian Lions. The match marked the BlueJackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lakeside Christian found their leader in sophomore Lex Mello, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mello has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mel Franco, who posted five points along with five steals and three blocks.

Admiral Farragut's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lakeside Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Admiral Farragut wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-32 loss against Canterbury on the 21st. Lakeside Christian has also already played their next matchup, a 38-22 defeat against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic on the 21st.
