Titans rout Fordham Prep.

Senior Anthony Brunetti ran for 257 yards and four touchdowns, all in the first half, to lead Holy Trinity to a 46-0 rout Fordham Prep. The Titans finished the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record. Dwayne Perry, Matt Wilson, and Ray Fucci led the Holy Trinity defense.

The Titans scored on their second possession of the game when Brunetti ran the ball 50 yards for the score.  The PAT by Pat Dreiss was good and the Titans led 7-0 early on. After a Fordham Prep turnover, Holy Trinity found the end zone again. Quarterback Chris Laviano connected with D.J. Joseph on a 36-yard touchdown pass.

The Titans struck again just moments later. Rob Zecker picked off a pass thrown by Fordham Prep quarterback Max Kinder and took it back five yards for the touchdown. Dreiss gave the Titans, who scored three times in just over three minutes, a 20-0 lead late in the opening quarter.

Brunetti, who finished the regular season with 1,815 yards on the ground and 22 touchdowns, ran wild in the second quarter. Brunetti scored from five-, eight- and 34 yards out.  The Titans held a commanding 39-0 lead at the half. Holy

Trinity got a fourth quarter touchdown run from Shaq Black to round out the scoring.

The Titans will open the CHSFL AAA playoffs next weekend against a team to be announced.
