Soccer Recap: Irondale Comes Up Short

Irondale and Mounds View pushed the score to 5-4 the last time they played Mounds View, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. Irondale haven't had much luck with Mounds View recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Irondale's loss dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Mounds View, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5-1.

Looking ahead, Irondale is taking a road trip to take on Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mounds View, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against East Ridge on the 2nd.
