Basketball Recap: Arlington Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Arlington won the last time they faced South Hills and things went their way on Thursday too. The Arlington Colts enjoyed a cozy 57-42 win over the South Hills Scorpions. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 551st, while the Scorpions are ranked 1253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for South Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arlington will square off against South Grand Prairie at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Hills, they will host Arlington Heights at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
