Football Recap: Mcgehee Falls Short of Bismarck in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McGehee can now relate to. They lost 35-12 to the Bismarck Lions on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Owls have suffered since September 5th.

Bismarck had a senior duo take command as Preston Hughes picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns and Caedmon Keithley rushed for 89 yards and one score on only nine carries. Hughes' longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.

McGehee's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bismarck, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

McGehee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bismarck, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 50-21 defeat against Mansfield on the 28th.
