After flying high against Cypress Bay last Tuesday, West Broward came back down to earth. The Bobcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes on Thursday. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

West Broward started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-23.

Jordan Quintanilla paced West Broward's offense, picking up 11 kills. Quintanilla got some help from Max Fischman and his 19 assists.

West Broward's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Pompano Beach, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

West Broward didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Pembroke Pines Charter on the 4th. As for Pompano Beach, they will challenge Cardinal Gibbons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
