While Sparkman's win against Grissom wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Senators skirted past the Tigers 8-7.

Caitlyn Pollard tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Raychel Harmon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 14 contests. Kennedy Hardin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Sparkman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are 14-3 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Sparkman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-17 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Grissom, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-27-1 record this season.

Sparkman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-9 win against Huntsville on the 5th. Grissom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
