Recap: Greenacres Christian Panthers vs. Varsity Opponent
The Greenacres Christian Panthers posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 77-40 win over Varsity Opponent. The win made it back-to-back wins for Greenacres Christian.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greenacres Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Corey Antoine, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Antoine has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joshua Barthelemy, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds.
Greenacres Christian pushed their record up to 3-8 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Varsity Opponent, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 246-908-2.
Greenacres Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Somerset College Prep Academy at 4:30 p.m. As for Varsity Opponent, they will face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Calvary Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
