Volleyball Game Preview: Jal Panthers vs. Eunice Cardinals

The Jal Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Eunice Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eunice took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Jal, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Jal made easy work of Loving and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Eunice unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Texico.

While Eunice was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Texico's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-14, 25-16.

Jal's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Eunice, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-8.

Jal was able to grind out a solid win over Eunice when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
