Basketball Recap: Hempstead Comes Up Short

Hempstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-36 loss at the hands of the Xavier Saints. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hempstead's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Xavier, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

While Hempstead had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
