Baseball Recap: Salinas Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Salinas's offense. They came up short against the Carmel Padres on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cowboys in their meetings with the Padres: they've now lost three in a row.

Salinas saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Isla, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Altie Ventura also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Salinas' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Carmel, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

While Salinas had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
