Vancleave had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the East Central Hornets as they made off with an 11-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-3 last Tuesday.

Dane McElroy spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Martin Shaw, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Jaxon Albert was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Vancleave's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for East Central, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Vancleave will have a chance to go back-to-back against East Central: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
