Basketball Game Preview: Carlsbad Lancers vs. Victory Christian Academy Knights + How To Watch

The Carlsbad Lancers will take on the Victory Christian Academy Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Wednesday, Carlsbad came up short against Orange Lutheran and fell 69-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (58), Carlsbad still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of Santa Fe Christian by a score of 54-52. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Victory Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Troy Tominna posted 18 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammell 'DJ' Humphries, who scored ten points.
