Volleyball Recap: Burns Beats West Lincoln for Their Third Straight Win

Burns had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the West Lincoln Rebels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Burns was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Karlye Clay paced Burns' offense, picking up 20 kills. Clay got some help from Alexis Martin and her 34 assists. Clay was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Burns' win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for West Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Burns wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Shelby on the 9th. As for West Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Lincolnton on the 9th.
