Football Game Preview: Christian Patriots vs. Ramona Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Christian Patriots will face off against the Ramona Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ramona took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Christian, who comes in off a win.

Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Brawley 37-16. Considering the Patriots' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Kaleb Runkle looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 210 yards and two TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 31 yards and one touchdown. What's more, he racked up 130.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ramona's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They fell just short of Valley Center by a score of 29-27. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Jaguars since two weeks ago.

The win made it two in a row for Christian and bumps their season record up to 4-7. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 23 points in those games. As for Ramona, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.

Christian was dealt a bruising 28-0 loss at the hands of Ramona when the teams last played back in August of 2022. Thankfully for the Patriots, Colin Lester (who rushed for 30 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 132 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
