Fairfax has gone 9-1 against University recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Fairfax Lions will head out on the road to face off against the University Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Fairfax is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Venice just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 62-51 to the Gondoliers.

Meanwhile, University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Westchester 93-35. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 779th, while the Comets are ranked 83rd).

Fairfax will have to contain Jonah Hansen as he made an impact in University's last game. He posted 13 points.

Fairfax's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-11. As for University, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Fairfax strolled past University in their previous matchup on Monday by a score of 54-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairfax since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
