Basketball Recap: Caruthersville Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Caruthersville faced off against South Iron on Friday. The Caruthersville Tigers took a 76-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Iron Panthers. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 85-69 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caruthersville's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for South Iron, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caruthersville will welcome Cooter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Iron, they will square off against Potosi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
