Basketball Recap: South Sevier Rams vs. North Sevier Wolves
South Sevier blew North Sevier out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday North Sevier got their revenge. The Rams fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 62-59. Rams fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wolves since Friday.
Despite the loss, South Sevier still got an impressive performance from Raidon Barney, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Barney, who posted 12 points and eight boards.
North Sevier's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Bulloch led the charge by shooting 47% from the field on his way to 28 points. Bulloch is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Cynch Wanlass was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 15 points and eight rebounds.
South Sevier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Sevier, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Coming up, South Sevier will square off against Manti at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Sevier, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-64 loss against Green River on the 22nd.
