Volleyball Recap: Amsterdam Takes a Loss

Amsterdam was the 3-0 winner over Hudson Falls when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Katelyn Bull paced Amsterdam's offense, picking up six kills. Bull got some help from Jaslee Cage and her nine assists. Bull also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Nakisha Medina, each putting up four.

Amsterdam has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Hudson Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13.

Amsterdam didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ballston Spa on the 17th. As for Hudson Falls, they will face off against Mohonasen at 9:00 a.m. on the 25th.
