Volleyball Game Preview: Nauset Regional Warriors vs. Sturgis West Navigators

The Nauset Regional Warriors will face off against the Sturgis West Navigators at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Nauset Regional turned things around against St. John Paul II on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Warriors have posted against the Lions since October 8, 2021.

Sturgis West not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 18, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past Rising Tide 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-10, 25-18.

Sturgis West's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Nauset Regional, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Nauset Regional has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 15.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Sturgis West struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
